Thematic studies and national reports

Sweden contributes with the national reports to the European studies conducted by the EMN each year. Thematic studies highlight the main findings from the national reports and present comparable data from a European perspective.

Thematic studies

Once the national reports have been completed, the European Commission, with the support of the EMN Service Provider (ICF), prepares a comparative study. These reports highlight the main findings from the national reports and provide a comparative analysis and comparable data from an European perspective.

National reports

Each year, EMN Sweden produces national reports on a range of current migration and asylum topics. Based on the research questions and templates established for the European study, the Swedish National Contact Point collects and analyses relevant information and data and compiles the national report.

Information for national reports and thematic studies is collected simultaneously. The way the material is analysed and presented depends on the type of publication.
