Publications

To provide Member States and EU institutions with objective, comparable and policy-relevant information and knowledge on current migration and asylum issues, the EMN produces a range of publications. Each year, the network publishes several studies and informs, as well as an EMN Annual Report on Migration and Asylum.

The National Contact Points (NCPs) prepare national reports for EMN studies, often in cooperation with representatives from their national networks. To ensure comparability across studies and informs, all publications are produced according to jointly agreed templates and research questions.

National reports

Each year, EMN Sweden produces national reports on a range of current migration and asylum topics.

Thematic studies

The thematic studies highlight the main findings from the national reports and provide a comparative analysis and comparable data from a European perspective.

EMN informs

The EMN informs are shorter reports focusing on specific migration and asylum topics.

EMN Annual Report on Migration and Asylum

The Annual Reports describe the main policy and legislative developments relating to migration and asylum during the previous year in EMN Member and Observer Countries. The annual report is called "Annual Report on Asylum and Migration Overview (AMO)".

EMN Country factsheets

EMN Country Factsheets are annual summaries providing concise information on policy and legislative developments in the field of migration and asylum, together with the latest available statistics from EMN Member and Observer Countries.

How topics are selected

To identify topics for EMN studies and informs, National Contact Points, the European Commission and, where relevant, other stakeholders may submit proposals. EMN National Contact Points then rank the ten proposals they consider most relevant. The final selection of topics is made by the EMN Steering Board.
